Four Lagoons and Q`eswachaka bridge tour full day
The bridge is woven, not built. This long day from Cusco combines the quiet Four Lagoons circuit with the remarkable Q’eswachaka Bridge, a traditional suspension bridge made from ichu grass and renewed each year by local communities. I like the strong link between living Andean custom and Inca history, and I like that breakfast, lunch, transport, and an English or Spanish-speaking guide are included in the $50 price.
The main drawback is the road time. You spend about six hours in the van, and parts of the route can be very bumpy. The gap between breakfast and lunch may also feel long, so bring water and a snack.
Guide Julio has earned praise for his warm manner and clear explanations, while driver Jorge was described as kind and careful. The tour begins early, around 5:00 a.m., and returns to Cusco at about 5:00 p.m. It is a full day in every sense.
