“This was a good way to see Colca Canyon- but there were too many stops which made the day too long. With an early morning start, breakfast was a quick in/out stop, the next visit was only 15 minutes not too long after breakfast. The viewpoints and the condors were amazing-- worth the price of the trip and extra Soles to enter the preserve Then, we stopped for the hot springs/different activities. This was the biggest waste of time, and purely a tourist money grab. Lunch was decent and then at least 3 more short stops- but at this point you have been on a bus for 12 hours, so…”

Our guide Carlos was such a kind and patient person and he shared his knowledge of the animals, plants, and culture along the way. I highly recommend the 3 day vs the 2 day if you have the time, as you will have more opportunities to stop to take photos, try local fruit, and relax at the sweet accommodations in the canyon.
